Material: 1.4301 Stainless steel and insulator made of polycarbonate

Assembly:

Clean the substrate, then the stainless steel brackets are mounted at a distance of approx. 1.5 metres – screwed to the substrate .

Mounting the wires ( one spring is mounted per section ) Cut the strand to the appropriate length with a reserve of approx. 20-25 cm.

1. On the pin without spring :D wire is passed through the sleeve and then through the hole on the pin or insulator. Then the strand is pulled through the sleeve again and the resulting loop is tightened to the pin. Crush the sleeve with the clamping pliers – to be on the safe side, squeeze in two places.

2. On the spring: Hook the spring to the pin of the next holder - pin or insulator - pull the other side of the strand through the sleeve, then pass through the other eye of the spring and through the sleeve again. Tighten the end of the strand to tension the spring, push the sleeve forward to the pin, hold on and squeeze the sleeve twice. Pinch off the rest of the strand immediately behind the sleeve.

To ensure the best possible protection, stainless steel strands with a diameter of 0.54 mm must be tensioned at intervals of approx. 5-7 cm, parallel to each other (e.g. at a depth of 10 cm, at least 2 parallel wires should be tensioned). When bracing, it is also important to ensure that a live and a ground-carrying wire are mounted alternately with each other.

In order to ensure a uniform current flow, the tensioned spring and the subsequent stainless steel strand (in the case of the stainless steel holder) must be connected to each other.

The connection of the power surge generator must be made on site (230 V / 14 A socket, which must be connected behind a residual current circuit breaker with max. 30mA residual current and perfect grounding) and can be connected to the system as required. The connection to the system is made exclusively with the high-insulation cable. Electricity in front, ground in the back. Basically, no closed circuit is necessary.

If one or more pigeons try to dismount in this area, it inevitably comes into contact with two of these wires and receives a current pulse of approx. 3,000 – 9,000 volts at 20mA at approx. 1 second duration.
